The Town of Boxborough offers free social service referrals for residents ALL ages as part of the Community Services Department. If you need assistance, please call or email to set up an appointment.
A range of assistance may be available to you including:
- Applying to Affordable Housing waitlists
- Referrals to local food pantries and furniture banks
- Screening and application assistance for MassHealth, SNAP, WIC, and other Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) benefits
- Resource lists for local childcare providers, elder law and estate attorneys, disability advocacy resources, medical/behavioral health providers, and more
- Referral to local organizations for one-time financial assistance for urgent bills

Fuel Assistance Programs
Low Income Heat Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) is a government sponsored program that administered by SMOC in Framingham. Residents must have income below 60% of the state median income level. Portal - Customer Portal (toapply.org). Click on Sign up if you are new to Fuel Assistance or Click on Log In if you already have an account.
Good Neighbor Energy Fund-The Good Neighbor Energy Fund is sponsored through the Salvation Army. This program assists households with incomes within 60-80% of the state median income and not otherwise eligible for other fuel assistance programs. Community Services Gift Account
I am happy to announce the creation of the Community Services Gift Account established April 2024. 100% of monies will be used for Boxborough Residents experiencing extreme financial emergencies and gift cards used throughout the year and gift cards especially for the Holiday support program. To donate, please make a check out to the "Town of Boxborough" and put in the memo line "Community Services Gift Account" and mail or drop off at the Town Hall to the attention of Wendy Trinks. Thank you for your consideration to help your neighbors.
