Flerra Summer Playground Registration is Available!

Flerra Summer Playground is a wonderful opportunity for children in grades K through 6th grade, consisting of four one-week sessions in July.  The program emphasizes the fundamentals and fun associated with participation in youth sports, arts and crafts, and nature and science based activities at Flerra Meadows in Boxborough. This program will occur each morning from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in July, weather permitting (cancelled on days of inclement weather). Registration will close Friday, June 10th, 2022 or when the cap of 140 students is reached.

Flag Football Spring Registration: Available Now!

Flag Football is a great opportunity for players in grades 5-6 to learn the basics of teamwork, the game, the skills & plays around football without physical contact. 

Flag Football will be held each Tuesday, afterschool; (3:20pm – 4:30pm) at Blanchard. 

This is a seven-week program starting Tuesday, May 3 and will run until Tuesday, June 14, weather permitting (cancelled on days of inclement weather). 

Fee: $20 per player

Overview

The Recreation Commission is responsible for the following:

  • Development and implementation of recreational programs for the youth and other citizens of Boxborough.
  • Management of the recreational activities at the Flerra Meadows, Liberty and Fifer’s Fields.
  • Sponsorship of programs during the winter, spring and summer months for the youth of Boxborough. Winter programs include floor hockey, soccer, and gymnastics. Summer playground is available for town elementary age children. These programs emphasize the basic fundamentals and fun associated with participation in youth sports.
