Treasurer/Collector
The Treasurer is the custodian of all funds held by the Town of Boxborough and is responsible for the management of these funds including investments, borrowing funds when needed and debt management. The Treasurer is also the Tax Title Custodian who manages all delinquent real estate taxes after a lien has been placed on a parcel. Additional responsibilities of this office include payroll and benefits administration.
The function of the Tax Collector's office is to collect all receivables committed by warrants and to follow Massachusetts General Laws under Chapter 60 for the Town of Boxborough.
