Engine 62 is a Class A pumper with a 1,500 gallons per minute (gpm) pump, capable of carrying 1,000 gallons of water.
Engine 62 has seating capacity for 6 Firefighters. It carries a 5-inch supply hose, as well as a 2.5-inch supply hose and 1.5-inch pre-connected matty-dales and hose reels.
It is fully equipped to support Car 66 at the scene of large motor vehicle accidents with a full set of the Jaws of Life, full medical jump kit, automated external defibrillator (AED), portable suction, and backboard set up.
Response
It is the second due engine to all fire calls and is staffed by Per Diem and Call Firefighters who respond back to the station for box alarms to support the on duty crew. It is first due to all motor vehicle accidents and incidents on Route 495.
